My Family
I am a Lieutenant Commander retired of the UY Navy.
I was born in Uruguay, a small country in South America. Graduated in 1986 from the UY Navy Academy with honors in Naval Systems (major), I joined the Navy for 23 years!
During my career, I have been deployed to different naval bases and ships. Participated in important missions around the World, like in the Antarctic and Democratic Republic of Congo (Africa) for the United Nations.
I traveled the world: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panamá, México, France, England, Germany, the United States of America, Samoa, New Caledonia, and Australia.
I speak 3 languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
I like to play Soccer and Golf. During the last 8 years, I was coaching golf for The First Tee of Upstate, teaching life Skills and Healthy Habits through the game of golf. I am the Golf coach of the School!!
I am the Head coach in soccer running both programs at the school.
Outside the GCS, I have a soccer academy and I am coaching in CESA.
I have a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as 2nd. Language from International Valencia University (Spain).
My family is made up of my wife Mariela, who married 36 years ago, 4 children, and 5 grandchildren.
We love being part of the Greenville Community!

2023 I have had the honor to receive the UN medal for my services.
Antartic Continent
I am the Golf Captain in the school and we competed in the last two GCS tournaments, finished second in 2021, and won the last one in 2022 @ Top Golf. In 2024 we finished one more time in 2nd. place.
I am proud that our students received scholarships from this tournament.
