About the teacher

My name is Ms. Riedel, and I am entering my twenty-second year in education and my fourth year as an ESOL teacher at Berea Middle School. This year, I will be teaching Level A and co-teaching alongside Mr. Bauman and Mrs. Ary.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Education from Gratz College and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Auburn University. Currently, I am completing additional coursework through the University of South Carolina at Aiken and Furman University and will earn my ESOL certification this winter.

Originally from Alabama, I have spent the majority of my teaching career in Maryland. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, as well as reading a good book.

I am excited to work with you during the 2025–2026 school year!

Mi nombre es la Sra. Riedel y este es mi vigésimo segundo año en la educación, así como mi cuarto año como maestra de ESOL en Berea Middle School. Este año, enseñar é Nivel A y coenseñaré junto al Sr. Bauman y la Sra. Ary.

Tengo una Maestría en Educación de Gratz College y una Licenciatura en Educación Física de la Universidad de Auburn. Actualmente, estoy cursando estudios adicionales en la Universidad de Carolina del Sur en Aiken y en la Universidad de Furman, y obtendré mi certificación en ESOL este invierno.

Soy originaria de Alabama, pero he pasado la mayor parte de mi carrera docente en Maryland. Fuera del aula, disfruto pasar tiempo con mi familia y mi perrito, además de leer un buen libro.
