Welcome to Spanish 109 ! 

This year you will be building on your Spanish vocabulary and language skills to improve your language proficiency. We will spend a lot of time reviewing beginner vocabulary and grammar structures to start, then build a deeper knowledge of them. You will participate in culturally-enriching listening, reading, and writing activities every day.

In order to be successful, you must dedicate time outside of class from week one. Because this is a college-level course, you will be speaking and writing frequently. You are expected to do homework assignments on days we don't meet together. But don't worry - I will be there with you every step of the way to help and provide the resources you need to reach your proficiency goals!

I highly recommend that you read all expectations of this course. Remember that you are held to USC student policies and have access to all University resources. If at any point you find yourself struggling with our content or have questions outside of class, I will be happy to assist you to the best of my abilities.

This will be a great year of learning!
