¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos a mi clase!
This is my fourteenth year of teaching and my ninth at Eastside.
I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky and moved to Greenville to attend Furman University. While at Furman, I studied at the Universided de Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid for one semester.
In 2014, I completed my Masters in Education with a concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language from Furman.
In the summer of 2015 I spent one month serving in Matagalpa, Nicaragua at Nicaragua Christian Academy. I assisted the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade English classes, as well as helped with the running program, and assisted in developing English curriculum.
I also boarded down an active volcano!
I spent the first 5 years of my career at J.L. Mann H.S. teaching levels I through IV honors.
During my final year at Mann, I coordinated the Activa Tu Speaking program with two high schools in Guadalajara, Mexico. My students completed bi-monthly video conversations that culminated in a travel exchange in Greenville and in Zapopan (MX).

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 sons, traveling to Kentucky to see my family, and hanging out with our dog, Manny!
I am excited for the year and I hope you will find this site helpful!
