The librarian is here to help you with planning and co-teaching, within the classroom or in the media center, lessons covering reference, research, technology, and literacy. Please contact Misty Black if you are interested in discussing a lesson or collaborating.
Book Check Out (Students)
Students can check out up to three books at a time and the check out time is one week. The number of books allowed to be checked out at once is determined by grade. 4K-1st can check out one book at a time. Grade 2 can check out two books, and third through fifth grades can get three books at a time. Students can renew as many times as they would like as long as the book is not on hold by another student.
The Library may be reserved for before or after school use by contacting Mrs. Black via email.
No food or drink (other than water) is allowed in the library.
Chromebooks are available for school-related use only. Students must follow the Greenville County Schools Student Acceptable Use Policy Agreement. Computer games, downloading, instant messaging and personal emails are not permitted.
IDs are required to check out materials. Books are due back in one week (may be renewed as long as not on hold by another student).
We do not charge late fees, but if a book is lost or stolen, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost.
Students will receive overdue library material/debt reminders regularly. Overdue/debt notices will be printed and distributed the last week of each grading period. Students will not be denied access to library materials if they owe fees for library materials.
Students are encouraged to participate in Media Center programs such as Battle of the Books, reading program promotions, summer reading and other library sponsored events and programs. These reading programs can be found on the library website, or you can check with the library for more info.
