I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher!
This is my 13th year of teaching and my 10th year teaching first grade at Sterling School! I previously taught kindergarten in Spartanburg County for 3 years.
I am from an Air Force family and have lived in 5 states. At the age of five, I declared my intention to become a teacher! I spent most of my childhood in the Atlanta area.
I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2013 with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. (Go Gamecocks!) That fall, I moved to Greenville and have called it home ever since. I earned my Master's in Literacy from Furman University in 2017. I have a passion for teaching kids to read- that is what first grade is all about!
I enjoy everything Greenville has to offer- restaurants, hiking, coffee shops, and more! My sweet golden retriever, June, accompanies me on many of those adventures! She is my little shadow. June became certified as a therapy dog and is able to do therapy work at hospitals, libraries, and even schools! I also love to travel and participate in ministries at Grace Church.
I was honored to be Sterling School's Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 year! In 2018, we welcomed the WYFF4 film crew into our classroom as part of the Golden Apple awards.

I seek to provide each child with a positive, warm, and loving learning environment. I love developing relationships with young children! Teaching your child is a privilege. I look forward to CELEBRATING who they are each day and working alongside you to help them grow. I am fortunate to be able to say that my passion and my job are one in the same!
