About Me

My name is Shannon Lemere, and I am looking forward to a great year here at Hughes! I have always had a passion for literature and helping others achieve their goals. My wife Allison also has a passion for helping others and is a nurse.

My wife and I are high school sweethearts. I have an amazing son, Cohen, who is now two years old. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Secondary Ed. English. While in school I participated in various extracurricular activities, but by far my favorite was attending Clemson football games. I bleed orange.

This is my 9th year teaching overall, and my third at Hughes Academy. Outside of school, I love settling down with a novel and enjoying a cup of coffee. I have a vast and eclectic taste in music. I am constantly looking for new music and literature. I believe that appreciating and creating art is one of the most beautiful things about life. I also believe books can be the best teachers about life, so this year we will seek to gain worldly wisdom and knowledge from the literature we read. I'm sure we will learn much more from one another throughout the semester, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.
