This intensive course is a study of American literature.  Students will develop a proficiency in literary analysis, oral interpretation, and must demonstrate a command of the mechanics of the written language by the way of essays, creative writing, projects, and presentations. This rigorous course will prepare students for further college level courses, English 101, English 102, AP Language, and AP Literature that can be taken in 11th and 12th grades.
