Bonjour!
I am Nicolas Philipp and I am the French teacher at Southside High School. It is my 12th year teaching at Southside but before moving to Greenville, I taught English in France for 9 years. I graduated from l'Université de Montpellier with a Master's degree in education and in English. I have been living in Greenville for 11 years now and between 2012 and 2014 I taught English and French for the French tire company Michelin, but I missed the classroom and the students, so I decided to come back to teaching high school.
I love to travel, I have visited a lot of countries all around the world and wish to see a lot more. I also love sports in general with a preference for le football, the real one, the one you call soccer. I am also a big fan of music and I love to play the guitar.
I am married to my beautiful wife Michelle who is a Clemson graduate, so naturally I have to be a Clemson fan.
I have two sons, Colby, who just turned 11 and is starting Middle school this year and Louis, who is 8 and is in the French immersion program at Blythe Academy in 3rd grade, and the latest addition to our family, Lucia who is 21 and is studying Psychology at Prebyterian College.
