Mission Statement
The mission of the Southside High School Library is to empower students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible digital citizens. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space that fosters curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence by offering access to diverse resources, supportive instruction, and a culture of reading.
CIRCULATION
Print materials are circulated to students for 2 weeks.
Any student who owes a lost book may check out one item at a time until the obligation is satisfied.
PRINTING
Students may print black and white pages for $0.10 per page and color for $0.25 per page.
BYOD IN THE LIBRARY
Students who enter the library as part of a class with a teacher will follow that teacher's instructions for use of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) and will abide by the BYOD policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Students who enter the library on a pass must abide by the BYOD policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
LIBRARY ETIQUETTE
Respect other patrons by working quietly and leaving your area clean and neat. Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) may be used in accordance with school and district policies. Devices should be on silent mode at all times in the library.
Please do not eat or drink in the library.
