My name is Shannon Taylor. I was born in Greenville, SC and currently live in Simpsonville.  I have a 18 year old son, Benson. He will be a Freshman at East Tennessee State University and majoring in Sports Media! I am not ready for him to spread his wings, but he is going to SOAR!!!!!

I graduated from Columbia College in 2000 with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  This will be my 14th year teaching, and my 8th year at Mauldin Elementary. I am so excited about teaching K5 again this year!  Wow!  Time sure does fly!  I have taught K4, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade. I have also done long-term subs in 1st and 2nd.  I love teaching all the subjects, but my favorites are reading and math.  

In my free time, I love spending time with my son! I LOVE to sing.  I am a worship leader at my church, Brookwood. I also sing in a band called The HitMob! It is so much FUN!!!

Family is very important to me and I love spending time with my family and son.  We also have a Pit-bull/Basset hound Mix, Chakko, who keeps us busy!  We love to go on walks together or just playing out in the yard.

I am looking forward to an exciting school year.  I can't wait to hear about the fun things you enjoy doing with your friends and family too.
