Read the Syllabus for all rules and procedures regarding grading, homework, makeup work, and tests.
EVERY DAY OCCURRENCES:
We takes notes daily, sometimes even on test days if it's a short test and we have time. This could be directly from the board, watching a video on Nearpod or YouTube and taking notes on your own, or via a Nearpod presentation. Please encourage your students to at least take a few notes, maybe an example or two, so they can go back and look at it.
Most days they will have an assignment to do at home. I do try to give them some time in class to work on the assignment, but some days that is just not possible or they just won't have time to finish.
Tips and Requirements for Success:
Take Notes Daily in Class
Do all work on the night that it is assigned, don't wait until the last minute (most days you will have time in class to work on this)
Make flash cards to study and prepare for tests (I always give a test review)
Get the rest you need; you do not need to sleep in class
Make up missed work or makeup work immediately
Arrive to class on time
GET EXTRA HELP FROM ME when you need it!
Tutoring Schedule: I will be available every Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:00 - 8:30. Students who want to come to tutoring will have to let me know they are coming the day before so I can create a pass for them in SmartPass. If they do not have a pass, they won't be allowed to come to my room from the commons.
