Book Check Out
Students can check out up to three books at a time and the check out time is 14 school days. Students must have their library book with them to renew. You can renew as many times as you would like as long as the book is not on hold by another student. If a student has an overdue book, they will not be allowed to check out another one until it returned or renewed.
IDs are required to check out materials. Books are due back in two weeks (may be renewed as long as not on hold by another student).
We do not charge late fees, but if a book is lost or stolen, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost. Please be considerate of others and return your books as soon as possible.
Students will receive overdue library material/debt reminders. Students will not be denied access to library materials if they owe fees for library materials.
Please be a good steward of the library materials. Keep food and drinks away from your library books.
Library passes are required during all class periods. No student will be allowed in the library without a pass and ID. Passes to the library during a student’s lunch period may be obtained prior to lunch from a teacher or the library staff.
Students must follow these procedures to use the library during instructional time:
Possess a library pass.
Upon arriving in the library, the student will speak with Mrs. Sanders or Mrs. Cate about their needs.
If there is a specific time the student needs to return, it is the responsibility of the teacher to let the students know, and the responsibility of the student to return on time.
Chromebooks are available for school-related use only. Students must follow the Greenville County Schools Student Acceptable Use Policy Agreement. Computer games, downloading, instant messaging and personal emails are not permitted.
Students are encouraged to participate in Media Center programs such as Battle of the Books and Reading All Stars. These reading programs can be found on the library website, or you can check with the library for more info.
The media center may be reserved for class use. Requests should be made at least one day in advance. Teachers must accompany students and remain with classes. Substitutes are not permitted to bring classes to the library without prior approval. You can view the library calendar in the media center. If you are interested in reserving the library for a class visit, please contact Mrs. Sanders, to be added to the schedule. Reservations should be made well in advance to prevent conflicts and ensure availability.
