All About Mrs. Emery

My name is Shelly Emery and this will be my 21st year teaching at Mountain View Elementary. I spent 16 years in 4th grade and will continue with year 5 in 2nd grade. Mountain View is such a special place and I truly think of it as home. I attended Winthrop University and received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I went back to school to get a Masters Degree in Integrated Teaching through the Arts. I have been married to Adam for 19 years and we have 3 beautiful children. Our oldest son will be in 8th grade this year. My middle son will be in 6th grade and my daughter will be in 2nd grade. One of the best things about my job, besides working with children is that I get to teach with some of my former students! In my free time, I love to read, shop, travel, and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to a fantastic year full of fun and learning!
