Welcome to the 2026-27 school year. My goal is to help you understand and fall in love with history. You will learn skills that will help you be successful in not only this class but all other academic areas. So buckle up and lets get started on making this one of your best semesters.

-Ed. S in Adminstrative Leadership

-M. Ed in Social Science Secondary Ed

-BA in Political Science with a Minor in History

-HQ (Highly Qualified) to teach Middle Level & Secondary Social Studies

Late & Missing Work Policy It is the students responsibility to keep up with assignments regardless of the reason behind the absence. Depending on the circumstances the number of days assigned for assignment completion will be the same number of days that correlate with the absence. If the assignment was given before the absence then the due date for the assignment will stay in place. Students are responsible for making up ALL missing assignments, it is their responsibility to make arrangements either prior to their absence or directly upon their return to school. Depending on the assignment a specific date will be given and agreed upon by both the teacher and the student. The turn-in date must be honored by the student if the date is not kept, the work will not be accepted. If the student is present at school but missing from class the assigned work is still due. Missing class while at school is not an excused absence to not turn-in an assignment or complete a scheduled test. The student must arrange a time with the teacher to make-up or turn-in a major assignment /test/project. Proposed retesting times are either before school, 1st block with approval, or after school. Late work will NOT be accepted. The only exception is when the student has secured an approval from the teacher with a proposed and agreed upon turn-in date. If the student is absent on a due date then the work is to be turned in on the day of their return to school, no additional time will be given to the student.
