About Me

My family and I recently relocated to South Carolina from California. Moving across the country provided me with a unique opportunity to change my career.  I was fortunate enough to start working at Woodmont High School in a student support position, assisting 12th grade students achieve their goal of earning a high school diploma.  I have now changed roles and will be working with students as a social studies teacher.

Prior to working at Woodmont High School, I served in the United States Marine Corps throughout multiple deployments before returning home to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Social Science with a minor in History from California State University, Sacramento.  I continued to work overseas  supporting the US government before starting a family and returning home once more and beginning a career in law enforcement. After serving in multiple roles throughout my law enforcement career, I found an opportunity to continue serving my community through education here at Woodmont High School.

I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm regarding the social sciences and more importantly supporting students to obtain the knowledge and skills that they deserve.  I will provide a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for all of my students and enable their growth toward a successful future. I believe that partnership and good communication are critical to obtaining a beneficial school experience, so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or helpful information that you might have.
