Cell Phone Policy
Cell Phone Policy
Effective January 3, 2024
In accordance with the newly constructed Greenville County School District policy, the following cell phone policy is now in effect.
Beginning January 3, 2024, personal electronic device usage is prohibited during instructional time in classrooms. This includes, but is not limited to: smartphone/cell phone devices, portable gaming devices, wireless earbuds, smart watches, tablets, and any future electronic devices that can emit a signal or sound, display a message or communication in some way. Students will be allowed to use devices in the hallways during class change, before and after school, and during lunch. These devices are to remain out of sight, powered down/silent, and not available for use during instructional periods of the day.

In accordance with the policy, disciplinary action will be as follows…
1st Offense: Referral with Admin Conference and Call Home
2nd Offense: Lunch Detention
3rd Offense: In School Suspension (ISS)
4th Offense and Beyond: Out of School Suspension (OSS)
