Chromebook Violations and Consequences

If a student violates any part of the GCS Student Acceptable Use Policy, he/she will be subject to the following discipline at Sue Cleveland Elementary:

  • Violation 1 – Warning
  • Violation 2 – Student will lose Chromebook privileges for the remainder of the lesson.
  • Violation 3 – Student will lose Chromebook privileges for remainder of the day and will complete a "Think Sheet" (signed and returned to school the next day)
  • Violation 4 – Student will lose Chromebook privileges for 3 days and will complete a "Think Sheet" (signed and returned to school the next day)
  • Violation 5 – Student will receive an office referral and will meet with administration to develop a plan for future use. Plan will be shared with parent/guardian and signature will be required.

When a student loses Chromebook privileges, the Chromebook will remain in teacher’s possession. Alternative assignments may be given. At administration’s discretion and on a case-by-case basis, different, additional and more serious consequences may be enforced depending on frequency and severity of the offense.
