Sketchbooks and Portfolios

AJW art students create sketchbooks and portfolios each year along with digital portfolios on Artsonia. Sketchbooks are used for practicing observational drawing and for learning to add values and textures in pencil drawings. They are also used for planning and reflecting upon works of art.

Students keep portfolios of their artworks to help them assess their artistic growth and to learn to value their art. Portfolios are sent home at the end of the year following our student art show. Parents can access student artwork through their on-line portfolios found at Artsonia.com.
