Mission of the GCS School Library Media Program

The mission of the GCS Library Media Program is to foster a learning community that creates lifelong learners who can:

• read critically

• express ideas

• investigate through inquiry

• use sources

• design solutions

• learn independently

• cultivate meaningful relationships

• engage as a citizen

• and pursue and develop personal interests.

Summer Reading 

Students are asked to read the following during the summer:

K-2nd            10 books

                             3rd-5th        5 books or 500 pages 

All students who complete the Summer reading will receive ice cream during lunch in September.
