My name is Anita C. Sanders, and I would like to welcome your child to the 3rd Grade. I have been teaching since 1991 and previously spent ten years at a public school in Chicago. Most recently, I also taught 5th grade at Legacy Charter School for six years, where I received the Teacher of the Year award for 2012-2013. 

In the early years of my teaching career, I taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade.  I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a major in Mathematics in 1991 and my Master of Education in Educational Management in 2008. My certifications include Elementary Education, Middle School Language Arts, Middle School Social Studies, and Early Childhood Education. 

This will be my tenth year at Slater-Marietta, and it is my honor to serve your child and work with this community.
