ABOUT

MRS. ABRAMS

I am so excited to join the Bryson Middle family as a reading interventionist! I attended BMS as a student and grew up in Simpsonville. This will be my 17th year teaching. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina where I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education. I then earned my Master of Arts in Teaching degree. After taking a special interest in helping students become strong readers and writers, I completed additional training in literacy. I love seeing students' eyes light up while learning something new and seeing their confidence grow.

My husband’s name is Luke. We have 2 daughters who will also attend Bryson Middle this year. Larson is going into 8th grade, and Reese will be in 6th grade. Our family loves to be outside, go camping, and cheer on the girls in their sports. I love to relax by reading a good book. We have a cat named Ben and a dog named Maple. Your child will hear many stories about my family, and I look forward to hearing about yours too! One of my favorite ways to build relationships with my students is through sharing and listening to stories.

I can't wait to begin this adventure together. By building on prior knowledge and creating meaningful learning experiences, students will blossom. With students, parents, and myself working together, this will be an extremely successful year!
