About Me

I am thrilled to begin my fourth year as Literacy Specialist at Blythe Academy of Languages! This is my tenth year at Blythe Academy. I'm originally from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education. After teaching middle school for 4 years, I returned to Michigan State University and earned my Master's degree as a reading specialist. I am currently earning my doctorate in reading and literacy at Capella University.  I love working with struggling readers and inspiring students to become lifelong learners.

    When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, baking, and exploring all Greenville has to offer. I also enjoy traveling and visiting my friends and family back in Michigan.
