About Ms. Sims

Welcome to 6th Grade! I am so excited to have your student in my sixth-grade Math class! This year will be my fifth year at Woodmont Middle School, and my first year teaching 6th grade math. I previously taught sixth-grade science and ELA at Woodmont Middle School, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 

I grew up in Moonville, SC, and graduated from Woodmont High School. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. 

I wear many hats outside of the classroom, including mom and varsity competitive cheerleading coach at Hillcrest High School.  I am a full-time mom to beautiful, two-year-old twin girls, Charley and Ivey. 

I returned home to serve the Woodmont Community, hoping to play a small part in the lives of the students growing up in the same community that shaped me.  I truly look forward to working with you and your child to make this year a success.
