Ross' Running Rascals

I love kindergarten! I have taught kindergarten (4 years) and first grade (2 years), but kindergarten has my heart. I am excited about my 5th year in kindergarten. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. I also can’t wait to get to know you, but before our year gets started I want you to know a few things about me. I was born in Lexington, South Carolina. I moved to Greenville after I got married 6 years ago. I have an older brother named Nick. He is only one year older than me and we are best friends. I just celebrated my sixth anniversary in Aruba with my husband Layne who is a mechanical engineer. We have one daughter named Maclaine who is four years old, and a son named Clark who will be 3 in October. I loved spending time with them over the summer playing and crafting. I went to the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where I received my early childhood education degree. After graduating I was an academic interventionist helping children keep up academically with their grade levels. I can’t wait to see you succeed and grow this year. We will get to know each other a lot better as we share many stories! I love teaching and I can’t wait to share my love for teaching with you! Let’s have an exciting year! -Mrs. Ross

Hello Rascals, I am so excited for our new year to start! This will be my 7th year at Monarch elementary school in Kindergarten. This is my fourth year being a Rascal with Mrs. Ross. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! First, let me tell you a little bit about me. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a business degree in finance. I met and married my husband Chris. We have been married 22 years. I left the business world in 1998 when my daughter Carson (now 19) was born and stayed home with my son Cameron (now 15) as well.I started teaching by working for Gymboree Play Programs which led me to teach 2 yr. old preschool. I went on to teach 4 yr. old preschool for 6 years. I started working at Monarch in 2012. I have loved working with all of the Kindergarteners who have come through Monarch and I know we are going to have a great year! -Mrs. Langston
