GTC 2023 English 101 Common Read

All Hillcrest students enrolled in Greenville Tech Early College English 101 classes in the fall of 2022 are expected to read The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. We will work with this book for the entire semester.

The Achieve program

This year, in English 101, instead of textbooks, students will have an access code to MacMillan’s Achieve. Achieve is an online platform that will give students access to an online version of the MLA handbook along with adaptive learning exercises and tests that they will complete during class. Please be aware that students will not be able to complete these assessments without access.
