SC State ScholarshipGrant_Flyer2024.pdfThe Meeting Street Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving, under-resourced South Carolina students who enroll in our state’s top colleges.
The Scholarship originated in 2021 through visionary private philanthropy offering a four-year, up to $40,000 Scholarship to public school graduates in 14 counties, which have since been designated as Legacy counties.
In the 2026-27 South Carolina budget, the General Assembly generously appropriated a recurring $18.7 million to pilot an up to $10,000 scholarship to all qualifying graduates in the state’s remaining 32 counties, which are designated as Expansion counties.
The Scholarship is humbled by this support and hopes to continue to partner with the state to continue serving our first class of Expansion county recipients and also offer the same opportunity to future classes.

Apply by November 1 for priority deadline or May 1 by regular deadline - Winthrop University Scholarships - Winthrop Scholars - Beginning with the Fall 2027 entering class, South Carolina high school students who graduate in the top 15% of their class will receive:
Guaranteed admission to Winthrop University
At least $5,000 in Winthrop merit scholarship support
No family income requirement
The Winthrop Scholars Guarantee is designed to give academically accomplished students greater certainty early in the college search and recognize the work they have already done in high school.
Students who qualify do not have to demonstrate financial need to receive the guarantee. The program also complements Winthrop's other scholarship opportunities, so students may be considered for additional scholarship support based on our existing scholarship processes.
Apply by Dec 22: Clemson Lyceum Scholars Program - Students must apply to Clemson first and apply through their Clemson portal. Open to incoming first-year students of any major, the Lyceum Scholars Program uses a great books approach to studying the moral, political and economic foundations of a free society. All Lyceum Scholars receive a $60,000 scholarship disbursed over their four years at Clemson University. Questbridge national college match
Questbridge National College Match - for high achieving seniors who have demonstrated need. Through the National College Match, students can be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship at our 55 college partners. The deadline for students to apply is Thursday, October 1.

Apply by November 1 - Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards - To be considered, students must:
Be currently enrolled in high school, graduating in the spring of 2027.
Hold a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale.
Enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2027 - 2028.
Attend their virtual ceremony, if selected.

The purpose of the Scholarship Spreadsheet is to organize a variety of different categories of scholarships into a central location for students and parents to access.
