My name is Becky Dougherty and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This year will be full of fun learning experiences for all of us.  I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for this class!

I was born in Camebridge, Massachusetts and lived mostly in the northeast until my father's job brought the family to Greenville, South Carolina. I graduated from Eastside High School right here in Greenville County. 

I have been married to my husband Daniel for almost 4 years and we have 2 dogs-Ham and Biscuit. I have two sons- Logan and Lucas. Logan is (19) and Lucas (16) He is a junior at Hillcrest High School. I enjoy watching both college and professional football. The Clemson Tigers are my favorite college team and The New England Patriots are my favorite NFL team. I also love swimming and spending time at the beach with my family. 

I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Political Science; however I found my passion was working with children so I went back to school and completed my Bachelor's of Arts in Education from University of NC-Charlotte. I taught for 3 years in Charlotte, NC. I moved back to SC in 1998 and have been teaching in Greenville County ever since. In 2008 I completed my  Masters in Elementary Education from Southern Weslyan University.
