About Ms. Renninger

     Hello Lake Forest parents! It is my absolute pleasure to be your child's teacher this year. My name is Melissa Renninger and this is my eleventh year in Greenville County Schools. Although this is only my eleventh year teaching in Greenville County, this will be my eighteenth year as an educator. Within my 18 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, 4th grade, 5th grade, and special needs students across various grade levels. I am looking forward to a brand new year teaching your fourth grade students. It is my goal to make each student have a love for learning, and equip them with the necessary skills to be successful as a student, and as a good citizen.

     I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2007 with a dual degree in elementary and special education. Although my parents and one of my older brothers live up north, southern hospitality has captured my heart. I am on my way to becoming a “southern belle.” I recently got engaged to my fiancée, Chad. In my spare time, I love to hang out with my Rottweiler, Maverick and Goldendoodle Zoey, whom your kids will hear about all the time. I am also a huge football fan! The Dallas Cowboys are my favorite NFL team, and on Saturday’s you will find me cheering on Clemson!  It is my firm belief that every child has a story, and every story matters. I cannot wait to have a part in this chapter of your child’s story!
