Recording Arts introduces first year students to Protools 2023 and the art of creating digital and live music with endless possibilities. There is also introduction to Live Sound capturing and mixing.

PM Recording Arts and live sound
Recording Arts involves students recording their scheduled personal projects, setting up recording and mixing live concerts for each Music Department and/or recording remote events. We have a Portable PA system that we use for live concerts to offer some experience with live sound mixing for students interested in that area. That system also doubles as an interface for recording up to 18 channels of audio to Protools 2023. We like to give them a variety of opportunities to learn about sound control in different environments.
