I grew up in Huntington, Indiana, surrounded by corn fields. Both of my parents were life-long middle school teachers. I graduated from Huntington North High School in 2000. In college, I majored in English Education and minored in philosophy at Ball State University, where I graduated summa cum laude in 2004. This marks the beginning of my 18th year of teaching and my second year at Woodmont High School.
I am also an avid reader and huge music nerd. I also enjoy hiking, cooking, movies, soccer, coffee, long walks on the beach, playing the kazoo, and spending time with my family.
