Hello, League Academy Students and Parents! Welcome to 8th Grade! My name is Rene Barrow, and I will be your Communications teacher this year. Let me begin by introducing myself to all of you. In academics, my undergraduate studies involve earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina with middle level add-on certification. Also, I hold a M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University. Further, I have increased my knowledge and skills in district level leadership through the Administration and Leadership Program at Converse College. My additional studies in education involve completing a graduate program at Furman University to obtain a M.A. in Literacy. I am married and have two children. Also, I am a HUGE USC fan. GO GAMECOCKS! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing activities such as hiking, kayaking, and watching sports. I am looking forward to an exciting and productive school year in room #802. We are the room of the Rockstars!
