Classroom Rules/Expectations

In our classroom, we have 4 rules to create a safe, fun learning environment for every child:

Parent/Teacher Communication

The fastest way to reach me is through Seesaw. We will communicate mainly through Seesaw, but you can also call me (864-355-4223), send me an email (atsmith@greenville.k12.sc.us), or put a note in your child's folder. If you need to schedule a conference with me about your child, please reach out with days and times that will work for you and we will schedule something as promptly as possible. If your child will be having an early dismissal, please make sure to put a note in their folder notifying us of this early dismissal so that we can communicate this with the front office.

Homework Policy

Please read with your child for at least 20 minutes each night. Practice sheets may be sent home occasionally, along with additional resources recommended if your child is struggling in a specific area in class.

Make-up Work Policy

If your child has missed several days of school due to sickness or other reasons, I will send home work they have missed in class. Make-up work should be returned by the following Monday.

eLearning Days

Beginning in 2020, GCS can declare eLearning days when weather or road conditions threaten safety. This allows instruction to continue remotely, even though students and teachers are not physically present in our schools. Students will have 5 days to complete eLearning work before being marked absent for the day. 

Chromebook Support

Visit the Chromebook Support Page if you have trouble logging in or need your  

Chromebook repaired.

Quick Troubleshooting Tips:

1. Turn off WiFi on all devices you aren't using in the house.

2. Close out all internet windows and try getting back in.

3. Log out of Google and log back in.

4. Do a hard "shutdown of the computer" by holding down the power button until it goes off. Power back on and log in.

5. Click the blue and black lock at the bottom of the screen to "authenticate." Choose 6 hours.
