Hello, and welcome to my English webpage! My name is Ms. Rachel Stokes and I have been in the teaching profession for 33 years. Prior to teaching the Bulldogs, I taught at Greer Middle School, Blue Ridge High School, Furman University, and Greenville High School. From 2008-2014, I also taught part-time at an exclusively online public charter school.
I teach AP English Literature, English III Honors, and English III; I will also teach AP Language second semester. In addition to teaching high school, I have been an AP English Literature and Composition Exam Reader since 2008, and I am an endorsed College Board Consultant in English Literature and Composition. I facilitate AP English workshops and summer institutes around the country. I was a featured speaker at EdmodoCon 2014 and have also made presentations at National Conferences since 2012, including the AP Annual Conference, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the National Association for Gifted Children.
A lifetime Greenville County resident and graduate of Blue Ridge High School, I received my B.A. from Furman University and my M.A. from the University of South Carolina. I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling.
