This is my tenth year of teaching, my fourth year teaching multilingual learners, and my second year teaching multilingual learners at Sara Collins Elementary School. I love teaching multilingual learners, because I love learning languages and learning about different cultures! After completing my Bachelor's degree at Auburn University, I taught elementary school for 5 years and then completed my master's degree in Intercultural Studies at Columbia International University. When my husband was transferred with his company to France in 2005, I learned French for the first time! Now I speak English, French, and a little bit of Swahili!
When I am not at school, I am usually with my family or playing tennis! My husband Danny and I have four children. We have two daughters who are studying at the University of South Carolina, a seventh grade daughter at Beck Academy, and a fifth grade son at Charles Townes Center at Sterling School. We also have a dog and two cats at home that keep us busy and active!
I look forward to getting to know my ML's and their families very soon! If you need to reach me, please feel free to email me at rbranyon@greenville.k12.sc.us or call me at 864-355-3249.
