I am excited to begin my 9th year at TR, my Alma Mater, where I teach Varsity Choir and Concert Choir, as well as Music Appreciation and class piano. I also serve as department head for fine arts.
My childhood love of singing and playing music took me to middle and high school choir (with the legendary Mrs. Hunt) as a student, then to Furman University where I earned my degree in Music Education. I have been a member of Greenville Chorale and Herring Chamber Ensemble (2001-2010) and Rivertree Singers (2014-2018, 2021-present) I also spent most of the last 5 years playing 70's/80's/90's rock songs with my cover band, The Time Pilots.
I enjoy the theatre as well and have had both lead and supporting roles in numerous musical and non-musical productions at Greenville (Little)Theatre and Centre Stage. On the weekends you can find me supporting my Paladins at a football or basketball game or hiking with my fiance.
My hope is that I can pass along the love of singing to a new generation while giving them the skills to be musically literate so that they continue to be life-long musicians.
