My name is Charles Wyche. This will be my 8th year teaching at Rudolph Gordon School. I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Emory University. I am also a National Geographic Certified Educator. After college I bounced around as a contract archaeologist, business owner, and personal trainer. Eventually I went back to school and got my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Clemson University. I am passionate about history and how it can be used as a vehicle to teach students to become not only critical thinkers but better citizens.
I am a big Clemson football and Carolina Panthers fan. I am also a Crystal Palace supporter. You can catch me at many home Clemson games and all home Panthers games! I have a wide variety of interests and greatly enjoy reading, something I try to encourage in all of my students. As far as family goes, my daughter Mary Wheeler will be a third grader at RGS this year and my son Henry will be in Kindergarten. I also have a very tolerant wife; Kelly. Two absolutely awful basset hounds (Lucy & Gus) round out our family.
