My name is Amelia Murphy and I love working with preschool students. I studied Anthropology and Education Policy at Loyola University Chicago and earned my Master of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Illinois Chicago. Before working in the school setting I worked in Chicago's homeless and domestic violence shelters supporting the academic needs of families. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband of nine years, Lennon, my one year old Maisie and my dog, Fawkes. We like to explore hiking trails, drink a cup of coffee, and read a good book.
Hello! My name is Ida Dunbar, and I am excited to be entering my third year as a special education aide. I have a natural love and admiration for children, which drew me to this rewarding field. I was selected to be a part of special education because of my innate ability to observe and analyze behavior, helping me support each student’s unique needs effectively. I am passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels valued and understood. Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family and friends, which recharges me for the important work I do. I am committed to continuous learning and growth to better support the students and families I serve. I look forward to partnering with you this school year to help your child thrive!
