I have been teaching ESOL in Greenville County Schools since 2005. The 2025-2026 school year is my thirteenth year teaching at Greer High School. I have also taught at Eastside High School, Berea High School, and League Academy.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I have lived in South Carolina since 1997. I like the sunny weather here!
I have teacher certification in both ESOL and French. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Lake Erie College, my Master's degree at Bowling Green State University, my teacher certification in French at Cleveland State University, and my teacher certification in ESOL at Furman University.
Unlike most Americans, I am multilingual and speak English, French, and decent Spanish. I can also say a few things in various other languages, including Italian, German, Russian, and Turkish.
I enjoy visiting other countries and experiencing other cultures. I have studied and worked in France, spent two years as a volunteer teacher in Benin, a country in Africa, and taught in Turkey for a semester.
Although I am childfree, I have six cats that are like children to me: Lucy, Lance, Mia, Chance, Manchitas, and Jules. I also have two nephews who live in Austin, Texas. Colin is seventeen years old and Carter is fourteen years old.
