Meet the Counselors

Melanie Miller - 8th grade

I am excited to be your school counselor at Fisher Middle School this year! This marks my 9th year as a school counselor (7th year at Fisher) and my 15th year in public education. I earned my undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and my graduate degree from the University of West Alabama.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Craig, and our three young children. As a family, we love to travel, cheer on the Clemson Tigers, and play with our dog, Attie. 

Gretchen Fox - 504 Coordinator

I am so excited for this school year! 

This is my 10th year here at Fisher Middle and my 13th year as a school counselor. I am from  Asheville, North Carolina. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, and I completed my graduate degree at the University of South Florida. I have two awesome children and enjoy sewing, cooking, reading, camping, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. 

Morgan Rains - 7th grade

Hello Firebirds! I am excited to be joining the Fisher Middle School family and School Counseling Team! I am going into my 9th year in education, with this being my first year as a school counselor. I have previously taught special education at the middle and high school levels. I am originally from Greenville, and attended college at USC Upstate and Clemson University for graduate school. Go Tigers!! I've been married for 10 years, have one son, and three dogs. We love being outside, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. I am looking forward to working with all my students and their families this year!

Reggie Patterson - 6th grade

I am so excited to be at Fisher Middle School this year! This is my ninth year as a school counselor and my first here at Fisher. I earned my undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and then worked in Athletic Multimedia at CofC for a few years before going to graduate school at Clemson University. In addition to being a school counselor, I also coach sub-varsity basketball for one of the high schools in Greenville County. Outside of school, I love watching sports (especially basketball), reading, and going to the movies.
