Welcome to first grade! I am Philippa Haynes and I'm thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher this year. This is my tenth year as an educator. Working with children is my calling and my passion, and I cherish my profession.

I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I have been married for seven years, and we have two children. During my free time, I love to travel, exercise, and spend time with my family and friends. Also, I love to read books, as your child will soon find out when they enter our classroom! This year I hope to help your child love Reading and Writing as much as I do.
