Welcome to Hughes Academy of Science & Technology! I've been the Instructional Coach at Hughes since 2021-2022 school year.  I attended Hughes and graduated from Southside High School. It is an honor to give back to the community that helped me become who I am today. I have over 20 years of experience in education and the majority of that time has been spent working at the middle school level.  

Role of the Instructional Coach:

• Create an annual Professional Development plan that is is aligned with district & school goals.

• Assist teachers with the process of planning, preparing, and implementing high-quality lessons.

• Facilitate Professional Development before, after, and during school.

• Establish and maintain positive staff & student morale.

• Communicate with parents, guardians, and community partners about data and effective instructional practices.

Education:

• Master of Arts in School Administration (K-12), Gardner-Webb University

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management, South Carolina State University
