Café Fury is our school-based business operated by students with special needs at Fountain Inn High School.
Our coffee shop serves as a dynamic learning platform where students can develop a range of skills that will benefit them in future employment and independent living. The program is tailored to meet the needs of our students and offers numerous benefits, including:
Vocational Skills: Students will learn various aspects of running a coffee shop, such as taking orders, making beverages, handling cash transactions, and customer service.
Life Skills: Participation in this program will enhance students' communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Confidence and Independence: By working in a real-world setting, students will gain confidence and a sense of independence.
Community Engagement: The coffee shop will foster a sense of community within the school and with thier peers, promoting inclusivity and understanding.
Students will be involved in all aspects of the coffee shop operations, including:
Preparing and serving coffee
Taking and fulfilling customer orders
Managing inventory and supplies
Handling payments and providing change
Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the work area
Staff and gen ed. volunteers help supervise the coffee shop, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and educational experience for our students. Safety and learning are our top priorities, and we are committed to creating a nurturing environment.
