As a passionate mental health counselor, I feel called to support students and their families throughout challenges they face. I work alongside students, parents, guardians and school staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment and to ensure that each student receives the support they need both in and out of the classroom.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California-Irvine and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and Professional Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in South Carolina, California, and Florida with additional certifications in Play Therapy and Perinatal Mental Health. I have over 10+ years of experience in various mental health settings, providing individual, family and group counseling.
I am certified in Play Therapy through University of California-San Diego and am a former Registered Play Therapist. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through Touchstone Institute.
I feel honored to help you and your family through the ups and downs that life throws you. My door is always open-to share the highest highs and the lowest lows.
I know that life is constantly changing and challenging each one of us, and I am happy to provide additional support. My role is to provide support, tools, and ideas to make life as easy as possible with every given circumstance. My goals are to make every student feel safe, heard, and empowered to succeed—Emotionally, socially, and academically. Here’s to a great school year!
