Ms. Harris

My name is Nikki Harris. I am the proud mom of 1 boy and 1 girl. My daughter is 7 and my son is 4.

I attended Kennesaw State where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and took the GACE for Special Education. I also attended the Schenck School for the Orton Gillingham class. I have been teaching for over 20 years with a few years abroad. I have dedicated my life to helping children with learning differences. I am very passionate about what I do because I have struggled with my own disabilities. My daughter and I are both dyslexic. If I was anything besides a teacher in a classroom I want to be a child advocate.

In my free time and as stress relief I love to go camping and hiking with my kids. We also spend lots of time doing events/ community service AHG and can't wait to start Trail Life next year.

Mrs. Holmes

Hello!

My name is Summer Holmes, My family and I  moved to  Greenville, South Carolina when I was ten and I graduated from Greenville Tech Charter High School in 2011. I then went to Lander University and Arizona State University for History and English Literature.  After college I got married and moved to Florida for four years while my husband was serving in the Airforce. While in Florida we had our daughter, so I was a stay at home mom for the most part and I briefly worked at a rehab center.   I have worked in health care for the last four years. This is my first year in Greenville County Schools, but I am super excited to be with your kids this year. We love to travel and have a trip planned to South Korea in the next year.  In my free time a love to read books and web-comics. I'm also into Kpop and watch Kdramas. These are the things I do when I'm not taking my daughter to gymnastics or soccer.

Mrs. Otto

I wanted to quickly introduce myself as one of your child’s new teachers at Robert E. Cashion Elementary School.  My husband John and I have been married for 24 years.  We have a 20-year-old daughter and 22-year-old son who are both attending the University of South Carolina.  While Milwaukee, WI is still considered “home” for us and is where both of our immediate families still reside, we have been able to move around for my husband’s job.

While living in Wisconsin, I was a stay-at-home mom and provided in-home daycare until both of our kids were of school age.  Once both of our children attended school on a full-time basis, I spent most of my days volunteering in both of their classrooms as often as possible.

In 2009, we moved to Dubuque, IA where I worked in the 3-year-old classroom at our children’s school as both an assistant, and eventually the lead teacher.  While living there, I obtained my CDA (Child Development Associate) for 3-5 year olds. Following our time in Dubuque, we moved to Plainfield, IL in 2013 where I worked as a substitute aide for the local public school system, with a primary focus in their Early Learning Center.

In 2015, our relocation continued and took us to Lexington, KY where I worked as a substitute aide in the public school district focusing mainly with Kindergarten and as a lead 4-year-old teacher and 2-year-old teacher in childcare centers. In 2021, a week before Christmas, our final move brought us to Simpsonville, SC and in February 2022, I became the 3 & 4-year-old teacher at Adora.  I am new to Greenville County School District as of this school year and I am excited to get to know all of the wonderful kids and their families.
