My name is Noel Couch, and I am so excited to welcome you to 5th grade this year. This will be my 5th year teaching 5th grade at Simpsonville Elementary School (SES) and my 23rd year in education. Teaching is truly my passion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to spend each day learning, growing, and making memories with my students.
I am a Greenville native and a proud graduate of Eastside High School and Clemson University. In fact, both of my parents graduated from Greenville High School, so this community has always held a special place in my heart. Watching the Upstate grow and change over the years has been amazing, but there is still nothing quite like calling this area home.
My husband, Peter, and I live in Fountain Inn, and we love being part of this wonderful community. Together, we have a blended family of five amazing children who keep us busy and make life exciting! Bryce, our oldest, is 31 and works as a graphic artist and lives in Simpsonville. Brad, 28, is an automotive mechanic at Toyota of Easley and live in Fountain Inn. Caroline, 25, plays professional soccer for BAY FC in San Francisco. Emily, 30, works for PNC Bank and lives in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Trey, 27, is a Project Manager at Stone Concepts in Benton, Arkansas. We are incredibly proud of each of them and love cheering them on in all that they do.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me enjoying some of my favorite things—travel, the outdoors, and time with family. The beach has always been my happy place! I grew up vacationing in Litchfield and still find so much peace and joy in the sun, sand, and ocean. On weekends, my husband and I love exploring the small towns and hidden gems throughout South Carolina on his Harley. Since Peter is originally from Arkansas, I enjoy showing him all the beautiful places and adventures this state has to offer.
Fall Saturdays are another favorite in our house! We are huge college football fans and proudly cheer for both the Clemson Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks. College football season is truly a family tradition, and there’s nothing better than spending Saturdays surrounded by football, family, and team spirit. Whether we’re cheering on the Tigers in Death Valley, following the Hogs from afar, or watching the excitement of College GameDay, you can usually find us enjoying every minute of the season!
I am looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, laughter, challenges, and growth. Fifth grade is such an exciting year, and I can’t wait to partner with you and your child to make this the best year yet!
