Welcome to 5th Grade!

Welcome to our classroom! My name is Noel Couch, and I’m thrilled to have you in 5th grade this year. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at SES and my 23rd year in education—it’s a career I absolutely love.

I’m a Greenville native and a proud graduate of Eastside High School. In fact, both of my parents graduated from Greenville High! It’s been amazing to see how much this area has grown over the years—there’s truly no place like home.

My husband, Peter, and I live in Fountain Inn and love being part of the community. Together, we have a blended family of five wonderful children. Bryce, our oldest, is 30 and works as a graphic artist in Washington, D.C. Brad, 27, is a mechanic at Carlton Customs right here in Greenville. Caroline, who is 24, plays professional soccer for BAY FC in San Francisco. Emily (29) works for PNC Bank and lives in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Trey (26) is a Project Manager at Stone Concepts, a business located in Benton, Arkansas. They definitely keep us busy and make life interesting!

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me at my happy place—the beach! I grew up vacationing in Litchfield and still find peace and joy in the sun and sand. On weekends, my husband and I enjoy exploring small towns across South Carolina on his Harley. Since he’s originally from Arkansas, it’s always fun showing him around this part of the country.

When we’re not out riding, I love relaxing by the pool, reading a good book, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers—Go Tigers!
