The "Carrell Barrel" is my YouTube channel. I recorded a video for every lesson that I taught in Algebra 2 CP and Algebra 2 Honors at Hillcrest High School. I will be adding videos to this YouTube channel (as I can) to help students have another resource when they are not in my class. Students are more than welcome to explore this channel.
Desmos is an online graphing calculator. Because it is so powerful (and free) we will use this as much as possible in class. Students will become very familiar with this website and all that it has to offer.
Khan Academy is an online resource which allows students to learn in a digital environment. Since students will be learning in the classroom, I suggest that students use Khan Academy as an additional resource in the event that they do not understand a concept in class or the way that I teach it on the videos that I provide on the "Carrell Barrel".
Click on the image to the left to access a TI-84 calculator emulator. If you follow the instructions, you will have a program downloaded to your computer which will allow you to do your homework and get practice with the TI-84 even if you do not have one at home.
There is also an app for Android phone which is available for free on the Google Play Store. It is called "WABBITEMU".
Unfortunately, neither of these options work with Chromebooks to my knowledge.
**NOTE: I have never had any problems downloading these programs; however, I can not guarantee that you will not have any computer issues if you download one or both of them. THEREFORE, DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
