Parents are an important part of a child's education.
Please read with your child each day.
Spend time as a family doing things in our community. There are many great places to visit in Greenville. Make some memories. (Hint: Anywhere is somewhere special when you are with family.)
Food for thought and action:
*Take time to enjoy your family: Plan family time together each week. Talk about the day and what you and your child(ren) have done.
In the Book, "Confetti Poems for Children", Pat Mora shares a poem titled "Abuelita's Lap". It says:
I know a place where I can sit
and tell about my day,
tell every color that I saw
from green to cactus gray.
Our children love to share details of the day with us. So let's take time to listen.
*Read! Read with your child, read for fun, read for knowledge.
*Encourage your child to do his/her best always.
Show your child school is important: Get them to school on time. Participate in school functions. Volunteer in the classroom.
