Hello, students and families! My name is Sarah Ladd and I am thrilled to be your ESOL teacher this year. This is my 26th year in education and my 16th year as an ESOL teacher. The other 10 years were spent teaching students in 3rd through 6th grades.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in TESOL. During my teaching career, I have taught in Hawaii and South Carolina. Some of those years have been in private school programs, but most were served as part of Greenville County Schools.
I was born in Florida but raised primarily in Greenville. However, after high school, I ventured around the country and lived in Florida, Missouri, California, and Hawaii before returning to South Carolina.
My hobbies include anything outdoors, for example, hiking, paddleboarding, running, and biking. My daughter, Emma (17), is a Senior at Eastside and is working on her Esthetics License through the Bonds Career Center. We spend a lot of our free time traveling to new places. My husband, Mark, and I enjoy college football...Go TIGERS! and visiting the beach.
I am thankful to be part of the Northwood family and am looking forward to a great school year!
